"Man did not weave the web of life - he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself."
Chief Seattle, 1854.

It is becoming increasingly clear that the delicate web of life that sustains us here on "spaceship earth" is unraveling - more quickly with each passing day. Pollution and degradation of our air, soil and water, weapons proliferation, unsustainable agriculture and manufacturing processes, large-scale extinctions, global warming...all are taking their toll and throwing into question our very survival as a species. Current attempts to identify and solve these problems are hampered by the separatist thinking prevalent in today's environmental movement. At CEEI we strive to bring about a paradigm shift away from treating each problem in isolation and towards understanding that each aspect of the environment is connected and that the problems facing us must be taken as a whole if they are to remedied. We offer the information archives in this section of our ESEW web site towards that end.
